Privacy policy
Last updated: 14 October 2026
This policy applies to the website decision-fog.com and to the quick diagnosis you can reach from here.
Controller
Life Institut AG, Kirchmooshöhe 4, CH-4800 Zofingen, Switzerland. Please send questions about data protection to hladner@life-ag.ch.
What this website stores on your device
Nothing. The website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or advertising services and loads neither fonts nor other content from third-party servers.
Server logs
The website runs on a server of hosttech GmbH, Seestrasse 15a, 8805 Richterswil, Switzerland. When a page is requested, the server records technical data: IP address, time, requested page and browser type. These logs serve operation and security, are deleted after five days and are not combined with other data.
The quick diagnosis
“Start the quick diagnosis” leads to our application at rethinking.cloud. It runs on the same server in Switzerland and is part of the ReflectIQ platform of Life Institut AG.
There you describe a situation and answer questions about it. The assessment works without naming people or companies in your description.
For the assessment, your description is sent to an AI model of AlpineAI AG, operated in Switzerland. The use of your input to train models is excluded.
Without an account, you view the result directly or have the report sent to you by email. Afterwards we delete your description and everything that led to the report.
We send the report via Brevo (Sendinblue GmbH, Köpenicker Strasse 126, 10179 Berlin, Germany; data stored in the EU). Brevo processes the data on our behalf. We use your email address only for this delivery; it remains stored at Brevo until you ask us to delete it.
With an account, you can choose to store your situation and the reflection on our server. These entries remain in your account until you delete them there.
We use your input only to produce your assessment and do not pass it on to third parties.
When you receive a personal link
Some links to this website are sent personally. They contain an identifier. If you open such a link, our application on the same server in Switzerland records that and when it was opened, with the note “quick diagnosis”. Nothing more.
This serves a single purpose: that we do not follow up twice. We delete this information once the matter is concluded, at the latest after twelve months.
When you book a conversation
“Book a free conversation” and “Talk to Hermann Ladner” lead to Calendly (Calendly LLC, Atlanta, USA). Nothing from Calendly is loaded on this website; you leave it and book on Calendly’s page. There you enter your name and email address. Calendly sets its own cookies and processes the data in the USA, based on the data processing agreement with Calendly. We use the information to hold the appointment and prepare for it.
When you write to us
We keep emails as long as the matter and statutory retention periods require.

Your rights
You can ask at any time which data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted and object to its processing. A short email is enough.
This policy is based on the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection. If you live in the EU, the General Data Protection Regulation also applies; you then also have the right to data portability and may lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. In Switzerland, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner is responsible.
